Vision
Ensure to train students in the field of Hydrography to accurate map the sea for primary purpose of safety of navigation and every other activity associated at sea and this training is in line with the country’s Vision of 2030 to create workforce to meet national, regional and International requirements.
Mission
To conduct Hydrographic Courses (theoretical and practical) in accordance with University Syllabi and guideline of FIG/ IHO/ ICA International Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartographers (IBSC) to create skill of Hydrography Surveying in students for collection, processing and presenting hydrographic data and results.

Goals
1. Approval and renewal of International accreditation of Hydrographic Courses from FIG/ IHO/ ICA International Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartographers (IBSC).
2. Availability of Survey Vessel platform and technical equipment to carryout practical training.
3. To Train students for theoretical aspects of Hydrography
4. To Train students to plan, conduct and present the skill of hydrographic surveys
4. Availability of train staff for teaching as well as practical training.
5. Availability of requisite software to meet the international requirement of Hydrographic Training in Hydrographic Lab
7. Availability skilled workforce to meet national, regional and international requirements formapping the sea.
